Anti-BMPR2 polyclonal antibody  (Rabbit)          Catalog:0804-7

Product Description: BMPRII is a cell surface receptor that is part of the TGFh family of signal transduction molecules. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Similar to TGFh receptors, type I and II BMP receptors contain serine threonine kinase activity, form heteromeric complexes upon ligand stimulation, and use Smads as secondary messengers. Bone Morphogenic Proteins (BMP) are members of the TGF beta superfamily that affect bone and cartilage formation. BMPs may be an important factor for development of the viscera, with roles in cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, and morphogenesis.
